Thomson-Powered Corvette Tops OPTIMA Qualifying Field at First Lingenfelter Performance Nationals

Dodging cones and rainstorms in Norwalk, Ohio, during the inaugural Lingenfelter Performance Nationals, Dave Michaels captured the Grand Champion award for the OPTIMA Challenge qualifying competition driving a Thomson-powered Corvette Grand Sport. With upgraded brakes and some additional safety equipment, Michaels channeled the power of more than 700 naturally aspirated horsepower from our new 442-cubic-inch (7.2 liters) LS7 engine package. Michaels not only ran away with the quickest time on the autocross course, but delivered a great quarter-mile ET of 11.38.

We've built a number of these great 442-inch LS7s for other racers and can give the same edge on the track with one. Call us at 248-349-0044 - and we’ll build a 442 LS7 for your street or race car!
